David Zax is a freelance business and technical writer, formerly at Fast Company, where his investigation into online mattress reviews was named one of the best in the magazine’s history. David has also worked as a market researcher for Google, Facebook, and other large tech firms. For the past several years, he has led studies conducting evaluative testing of generative AI chatbots and co-published a study with Meta AI researchers on the experience of writers using ChatGPT to assist their workflow. In his spare time, he writes screenplays, and recently sold his first TV pilot.

Most recently she was director of content for GCM, a communications and marketing firm working with startups and multinational corporations. A New Yorker, she is based in Spain after years in Istanbul and Washington, D.C.

Nicholas Hutchison is N2’s Chief of Staff. As a recent Harvard graduate, Nicholas was a senior writer and editor for the Harvard Lampoon, and he graduated cum laude with high honors in economics, receiving Harvard’s Hoopes prize and a summa grade for his econometrics thesis that used a novel AI algorithm to analyze racial bias in movie reviews.

They first began working in tech and AI as the content and design lead at OSIsoft, an industrial data infrastructure company that sold for $5B to Aveva in 2020. Most recently, they were the head of content for the growth fund at the legendary Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, where they had a front row seat to the latest wave of AI breakthroughs. In that time, they created a16z’s AI Revolution series; ghostwrote a book on executive hiring; and edited numerous hit AI pieces, including What Builders Talk About When They Talk About AI, AI in B2B (podcast), AI in 2020, The New Business of AI (and How It’s Different from Traditional Software), and Emerging Architectures for Modern Data Infrastructure.
