David Zax

David Zax is a freelance business and technical writer, formerly at Fast Company, where his investigation into online mattress reviews was named one of the best in the magazine’s history. David has also worked as a market researcher for Google, Facebook, and other large tech firms. For the past several years, he has led studies conducting evaluative testing of generative AI chatbots and co-published a study with Meta AI researchers on the experience of writers using ChatGPT to assist their workflow. In his spare time, he writes screenplays, and recently sold his first TV pilot.

Emily FELDMAN

Emily Feldman is a senior writer and editor specializing in translating complex topics into easily digestible, compelling content. She has 15 years of international journalism and communications experience with bylined and ghostwritten articles appearing in leading publications including the Financial Times, Economist, The New Yorker Online, Forbes and Vox. Most recently she was director of content for GCM, a communications and marketing firm working with startups and multinational corporations. A New Yorker, she is based in Spain after years in Istanbul and Washington, D.C.

Das Rush

Das Rush advises companies on the latest in AI and what it means for their content. They first began working in tech and AI as the content and design lead at OSIsoft, an industrial data infrastructure company that sold for $5B to Aveva in 2020. Most recently, they were the head of content for the growth fund at the legendary Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, where they had a front row seat to the latest wave of AI breakthroughs. In that time, they created a16z’s AI Revolution series; ghostwrote a book on executive hiring; and edited numerous hit AI pieces, including What Builders Talk About When They Talk About AI, AI in B2B (podcast), AI in 2020, The New Business of AI (and How It’s Different from Traditional Software), and Emerging Architectures for Modern Data Infrastructure.

Nicholas Hutchison

Nicholas Hutchison is N2’s Chief of Staff. As a recent Harvard graduate, Nicholas was a senior writer and editor for the Harvard Lampoon, and he graduated cum laude with high honors in economics, receiving Harvard’s Hoopes prize and a summa grade for his econometrics thesis that used a novel AI algorithm to analyze racial bias in movie reviews.

Tessa STUART

Tessa Stuart is a features writer who has spent almost a decade on staff at Rolling Stone, following staff positions at the Village Voice, LA Weekly and BuzzFeed. She has also worked as podcast editor and producer and developed narrative magazine features for television.

MadELYN GOODMAN

Madelyn Goodman is an N2 contributor focused on bringing a technical lens to content on AI. Her training in data science and experience working at startups, collaborating with cross-functional teams, gives her the unique ability to educate broad audiences on the technicalities of AI in an accessible way. Most recently, she worked at Tonic.ai, a leader in AI-powered data security tools, working to develop marketing strategies to better engage technical audiences as well as contributing to R&D efforts to pave their AI roadmap.

James Longley

James Longley leads N2’s content marketing team. He has 10 years of experience building and executing content strategies for startups and global tech enterprises, including Segment, PagerDuty, and a leading cloud services provider. He brings an expertise in creative team building and data-driven writing to the projects he manages. Based in the Bay Area, he holds an MFA in creative writing from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.

Alex Spacher

Alex Spacher leads N2’s graphic design department. He is an award-winning creative director and brand strategist with over 20 years of experience in the media industry, focusing on luxury and lifestyle publications. Alex has an exemplary track record in creating and executing comprehensive editorial design with an emphasis on powerful storytelling and unique visual problem solving. He has created multiple successful brand identities and developed award-winning assets that get to the critical center of the unique stories we have to tell. In the publishing industry, his responsibilities have included directing, inspiring, and motivating a team of designers and photo department to elevate the print and digital aesthetic and to build a tenacious visual statement.
